BDF EXPERTS releases version 2.2 of SAP Product and Process Governance (SAP PPG):

Focus on Efficiency, Transparency, and Seamless Integration: Invitation to the Webinar on April 21, 2026

DÜSSELDORF – March 16, 2026 – BDF EXPERTS, an SAP Silver Partner and specialist in digital supply chain solutions, announces the release of version 2.2 of its SAP Product and Process Governance (SAP PPG) software solution. The annual update brings significant functional enhancements in the areas of document management, project system integration, and cost control.

SAP PPG was first certified by SAP in 2015 under its original product name, Process Control Center. Since 2021, the software has been marketed by BDF EXPERTS under the product name SAP Product and Process Governance. Since 2021, the software has undergone SAP’s annual Premium Qualification for the SAP Marketplace. With Release 2.2, SAP PPG solidifies its position as a central hub for product and process data. As part of the SAP Premium Qualification, the software undergoes rigorous testing regarding programming guidelines and usability to ensure the highest quality standards.

An overview of the highlights of Release 2.2:

  • Optimized document management: A new, direct document search function within the PPG environment, along with the ability to set favorites for document categories, significantly speeds up access to process-relevant information.

  • Intuitive Project System integration (PS Browser): Thanks to the new drag-and-drop functionality, PS objects such as network activities and PSP elements can be seamlessly linked to PPG objects. This simplifies synchronization between engineering, production, and project planning, among other areas.

  • Transparent cost control with MIKA: The accompanying cost estimate “MIKA” has been more deeply integrated into material costing and condition records. Additionally, the connection to Fiori and SAC reporting technologies via MIKA CDS views enables modern, data-driven decision-making in real time.

  • Enhanced BOM Browser: A dedicated view for bills of materials (BOMs) within the PPG environment provides a hierarchical display analogous to the PPG product structure nodes, which improves the clarity of complex product structures.

  • Future-proofing: The release includes technical adjustments for ALV grids on S/4HANA 2023 FPS03, ensuring full compatibility with the latest SAP technologies.

“With the release of version 2.2, we are directly addressing our customers’ demands for even deeper integration and more intuitive usability,” explains Dr. Ulrich Schmidt, Managing Director of Digital Supply Chain at BDF EXPERTS. “In particular, the enhancements in the area of concurrent product and project costing provide companies with the transparency they need to operate profitably in dynamic markets.”

To present the new features in detail, BDF EXPERTS is hosting a webinar on April 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interested parties can register via the following link. The webinar will be conducted in English.
