Webinar: Project Cost Management in PPG 1

SAP often offers only limited capabilities for integrated proposal costing followed by project controlling. This webinar will show you how SAP Product and Process Governance (PPG) enables end-to-end costing from the proposal stage through to project kickoff without any data silos.

Quotation costing forms the financial foundation of every project. In traditional SAP scenarios, however, it is often not integrated – or only inadequately integrated – into downstream project controlling. This leads to data disconnects, manual data transfers, and inconsistent cost data right from the start of the project.

SAP PPG addresses precisely this gap. By utilizing Easy Cost Planning, PPG enables structured and traceable proposal costing that is not viewed in isolation but serves as a consistent basis for the subsequent project order. Costing data is retained and can be reused without having to be re-entered.

This webinar focuses on the phase from the proposal to the project start. Using an end-to-end scenario, we’ll show you in a live demo how a bid calculation is structured in SAP PPG and how it can be transferred to the first step of order controlling once the bid is accepted. We’ll deliberately highlight the key mechanisms and system interrelationships.

This webinar is intended for anyone who wants to ensure a transparent and consistent cost basis as early as the proposal phase.

The 3 most important takeaways:

• Set up proposal costing in SAP PPG in a practical way and structure it in a transparent manner
• Map the transition from proposal to order cleanly within the system without manual data transfers
• Develop an understanding of the relationship between proposal costing and project controlling

Target Audience:

• Department heads
• Business unit managers & end users (FI/CO, IT, Sales & Distribution)
