When building service and maintenance structures in SAP PPG, use virtual functional locations and equipment. For later service operations, the functional locations, equipment and the links between them can be generated directly from these.

In addition to the planning structure, create further structures for documentation. In this way, documents can be structured with folder systems free of redundancy, which can in turn be linked to one another. As a third essential component for building a digital twin for plant operation, spare parts structures can be used in the later service processes.

Provision of service data:

Build your digital twin from the PPG planning data for the later operation of the plant by generating the functional location structure and the corresponding equipment for an entire plant complex, starting from the engineering structure and the functional elements it contains.

• The spare parts of an item of equipment can be mapped via equipment bills of materials or material bills of materials with maintenance usage and generated directly from SAP PPG.
• You can present the contents of the customer documentation in a separate structure and link it to the functional locations and equipment.

Remanufacturing integration:

With SAP PPG, you are able to map your remanufacturing processes and record them as maintenance records.

• In this way, using SAP variant configuration, the actual remanufacturing scope can be determined after inspection and transmitted to the MES with the corresponding routing and components.
• Through integration into service and maintenance, equipment master records can be created, assigned or updated directly after remanufacturing.
